Warung Onel

I had dinner here for 5 nights out of 7 nights my stay in Candidasa. Owner couple Onel and Iril, waitress, kitchen staff are all very friendly and welcoming. They play music with speaker and let us choose our favorite ones from YouTube. I especially enjoyed fresh seafood such as octopus, pepes and grilled fish! Prices are reasonable. They open untill 11pm which is considered late in this area, so if you can't find restaurants open till late or looking for supper, then just go here! Other customers are friendly as well and I made a lot of local friends here. They're the ones made my stay in Candidasa memorable and the reason I want to come back!

Visiting Warung Onel is an absolute must in Candidasa. Onel & his wife are very friendly & make you so so welcome. Great music, fabulous food & the fish is very fresh & well cooked. Forget Vincent's, this is the place to be supporting local people

One of the few Balinese owned and run family warung in Candidasa, Onel is a must visit if you love seafood. Onel and his family cook over a coconut grill wonderful fresh seafood accompanied with warm hospitality. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in Candidasa.

Chef exactly knows what he is doing. Awesome dinner, will come again! Fresh fish, perfectly sliced and well prepared. Not a huge fan of peanut sauce, but this one was incredible!

If in Candidasa, Warung Onel is a must if you want to taste the best grilled fish around. Forget the big restaurants and support the local community, you will be pleasantly surprised with the quality and freshness of their dishes. Run by Husband and wife Onel & Iril this family run warung - bar is well worth a visit. Located just around the bend at the east end of Candidasa. Fresh fish & seafood cooked to perfection but also chicken dishes, spring rolls etc. The must have dish is Onels grilled fish that is cooked on a grill over coconut husks. So good went back next night for a specially prepared fish, spiced & seasoned to perfection, wrapped in banana leaves & cooked on the grill. They are so welcoming you are treated more as a friend than a customer. To top the experience off, after our meal Onel brought out the Arak and we sat around with them and some of their local friends having shots and just chatting about anything. A truly memorable 2 evenings.

We had a tasty meal here! The owners know how to cook and I loved it that they made us potatoes instead of rice and there were real potato, not those from the bag ;) The preparation took some time, but this was probably because we were the first clients for the night. Another not so great aspect is the proximity to the road and the noxes you have to ingest from the heavy traffic sometime.

Went there because of rating here in Google. A small warung located on the street, a few tables, locals driving by to pick up orders & a warm and friendly welcome. Juices are freshly sqeezed & cold beer of course. We had soups as starter, sweet sour chicken and a fresh grilled barracuda filet. Everything was great, the fish was fantastic, If you are here, give it a try!

Amazing fried rice and the spring rolls were the best I had! Idk what the sauce to dip it in was heaven!!! Hight recommend coming in for a drink and great food and amazing owners!!
